Elder Ciro Schmeil

Consider Your Ways, and from This Day Will the Lord Bless You

Seventy

In brief

Elder Schmeil describes two divine helps for mortality: the Savior and our covenants, through which we are yoked with Christ and our burdens lightened. He emphasizes that we need not be perfect to partake of the sacrament, only willing to take His name, remember Him, and keep His commandments. Drawing on Haggai, where Israel labored much but accomplished little while the temple lay unbuilt, he invites listeners to "consider your ways" and make covenant relationships with God their priority.
