Elder Michael A. Dunn
The Ninety and Ten
Seventy
In brief
Elder Dunn recalls a 100-mile ultramarathon in which, at mile 90, he wanted to quit until his running partner Ted promised to get him to the finish. A photo later revealed that Ted had quietly carried Elder Dunn's water and pack for those last miles. He likens Ted to the Savior, who rescues not by shortening our course but by helping us lengthen our stride, and promises that feeling broken does not mean God has abandoned us.
