Brother Gabriel W. Reid

You Are Good Enough to Teach

Sunday School General Presidency

In brief

Brother Reid, newly called to the Sunday School General Presidency and once described in a headline as an NFL player, admits wondering whether he is good enough to teach the gospel. He notes that when the Savior called people to teach, He also promised to make them what He needed. Remembering his parents and Primary teachers in American Samoa, who taught beneath a mango tree and loved each child by name, he teaches that to teach like the Savior we must love like Him, and that a 25-minute lesson is an invitation to focus on helping people come to Christ.
