Elder Gary E. Stevenson
Fruit to Make One Happy
Quorum of the Twelve
In brief
Speaking especially to Primary children, Elder Stevenson uses Lehi's vision of the tree of life and his own love of fruit to describe three sweet fruits of the gospel: we are children of a loving Heavenly Father, the great plan of happiness through Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. He tells of a small boy who ran to the stand to sing "I Am a Child of God" after an earthquake, and of a grieving Buddhist priest comforted by learning where his wife's spirit had gone. He invites children to love, share, and invite.
