Elder Hutch U. Fale

I Am a Child of God

Seventy

In brief

Elder Fale teaches that every person is a beloved child of heavenly parents, illustrating God's unearned love by showing his children their baby pictures: they did nothing to earn their parents' love and can do nothing to lose it. He warns against the lie that God's love means we will be saved regardless of sin, since exaltation comes through receiving Christ by covenant. Understanding God's love, he says, helps us understand Christ, see past the world's labels, and reject the idea that it is ever too late to change.
