Elder Neil L. Andersen
Courage Born of Our Faith in Jesus Christ
Quorum of the Twelve
In brief
Elder Andersen welcomes President Rosemary Chibota, who joined the Church at 17 after reading a pamphlet about Joseph Smith, and teaches that spiritual courage, born of faith in Jesus Christ, has always been required of disciples, from Moroni to today. Contrasting his quiet boyhood days herding cows with the constant noise of phones and "artificial information," he urges stillness to nourish faith. Examples range from a young President Oaks accepting a demanding calling to Spokane fire survivors who said their faith was secure, and he promises that strengthening faith brings answers and increased spiritual power.
