Elder Vaiangina Sikahema
Prophets, Seers, and Revelators
Seventy
In brief
Elder Sikahema tells of his Tongan grandparents, missionaries who buried their infant son after a storm at sea and still sailed on to hear an apostle in 1947. He traces the ancient famine of hearing the word of the Lord, ended when the Father and the Son appeared to Joseph Smith and prophets and apostles were restored. Opening the conference, he urges listeners not to treat the words of living prophets as a light thing.
